Who is the Buddenbohm Sirrah suitable for?
The Sirrah is a Bb tenor trombone without F-attachment valve, with a .500" bore (12.7 mm). It is ideal for jazz, big band, chamber music and solo playing – wherever a crystal-clear, direct sound with an easy response is called for. Professionals such as Prof. Tim Hepburn (Heavytones) and Sebastian Stricker (Heeresmusikkorps Kassel) also play the Sirrah.
What are the technical specifications of the Sirrah?
Bb pitch, .500" / 12.7 mm bore, two-piece hand-hammered brass bell of 8" / 203 mm, brass outer slide with square slide crook, clear lacquered. Bell and leadpipe are interchangeable.
What does the Buddenbohm Sirrah cost?
The base price is €3,500 (polished, incl. 19% VAT, as of April 2026). Finishes such as lacquering, silver plating or gold plating as well as special appointments are available at extra cost.
Can I configure the Sirrah individually?
Yes. Thanks to its modular design, the bell and leadpipe can be changed – allowing us to tailor response, tone colour and resistance precisely to your playing. On request, we also build one-off instruments to your own specifications.
Can I try out the Sirrah before buying?
Yes. In our showroom in Bückeburg you can take your time playing the Sirrah and compare it directly with other models. Simply arrange a personal appointment.
