Frequently asked questions
Good to know
Who is the Buddenbohm Deneb suitable for?
The Deneb is a Bb/F tenor trombone with a Rotax F-attachment valve and a two-piece gold brass bell – a versatile orchestral instrument with a warm, carrying sound. Played by Lukas Klingler (Hanover State Opera), Quirin Willert (Munich Philharmonic) and Quentin Lebailly (Vitré Conservatoire), among others.
What are the technical specifications of the Deneb?
Bb/F pitch, .547" / 13.89 mm bore, two-piece hand-hammered gold brass bell 8.5" / 216 mm, Rotax F-attachment valve, brass outer slide with square slide crook, interchangeable bell and leadpipe, clear lacquered.
What does the Buddenbohm Deneb cost?
The base price is €5,900 (polished, incl. 19% VAT, as of April 2026).
What is the difference between the Deneb and the Wega?
Both share the same bore and bell size. The Deneb has a square slide crook and sounds somewhat more focused, while the Wega with its round slide crook is a little more open and broader. The best approach is to compare the two directly in our showroom.
What does a two-piece bell mean?
With a two-piece bell, the rim and the flare are made separately and hard-soldered together. This produces a particularly defined response and a clearly contoured sound – and every bell is hand-hammered in our workshop.
